Adrian Tierce Boyd, 84, passed peacefully from this life on December 25, 2024. He was born October 12, 1940, in Comanche, Texas to Arcue Boyd and Dorothy Hawkins Boyd. Adrian married his loving wife of fifty-three wonderful years, Glenda Reedy, on July 3, 1966. She preceded him in 2018.

Adrian was raised in the Downing community and spent most of his adult life in the DFW area. He graduated from Ft. Worth Technical High School. He was a skilled mechanic and was employed with Ft. Worth ISD as a shop and auto instructor. He also worked as a truck driver. He enjoyed woodworking, painting, and numerous other hobbies. His family was the center of his life. Adrian was a devoted and loving husband, father, and brother. He was a loving Papaw who adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved his family well and he will be missed beyond measure.

He is survived by his son, Adrian Lynn Boyd; daughter, Melodie Kaye Geron and husband, Clifton; grandchildren, Amy Sandlin, Lisa Ware, Breanna Silvey, Daniel Geron, Shelby Geron, Caedmon J. Boyd, and Malachi I. Boyd; fifteen great-grandchildren; sister, Karen Lynn Smith; numerous nieces and nephews; and other extended family. Adrian has been reunited with his beautiful wife, Glenda; parents, Arcue and Dorothy Boyd; and brother-in-law, Lee Smith.

Graveside funeral services celebrating Adrian's life were held Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in Downing Cemetery with Pastor Randy Munter officiating. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the John Hagee Ministries Sanctuary of Hope (www.jhm.org) in memory of Adrian.
