Albert Allen Davis, 80, of De Leon, passed away Thursday June 1, 2017, with his family by his side.
He was born October 13, 1936, in De Leon, Texas, to Charles Tilford Davis and Velma Modene Bankhead Davis.
Albert lived in the De Leon community most all of his life. He proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Albert was a long time mechanic in De Leon. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, spending time outdoors, repairing lawnmowers, playing dominos, and being with his family.
He is survived by his sons, Jimmy Davis and wife, Mercy, and Jason Davis; daughters, Marie Glover and husband, Billy, Lynn Pierson and husband, Mark, and Tena and Linda Davis; brothers, James Davis and Kenneth Davis and wife, Kay; sisters, Mary Whiteley and husband, Bobby, Shirley Smith and husband, Bennie, and Martha Fuller; seventeen grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and other extended family.
Albert was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Velma Davis, step-mother, Mandy Davis; two sons, Albert Davis, Jr., and Charles Davis; two brothers, Robert Davis and Charles Davis; two sisters, Wanda Davis and Velma Davis; and one grandson, Charles, Jr. (C.J.).
Funeral services were held Sunday, June 4, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at Nowlin Anders Funeral Home. Graveside services followed in De Leon Cemetery.
