Obituary

Alice Wright, 73, of De Leon, passed away Friday, November 13, 2015, with her family by her side.

She was born December 1, 1941, in Ulysses, Kansas. Alice married Wayland A. Wright June 12, 1958, in Brownfield, Texas.

Wayland and Alice moved to De Leon in 1965. She and Wayland have owned and operated Wright Irrigation for over 40 years. Alice enjoyed painting, sewing, reading and playing the guitar. The greatest joy in her life was spending time with her sweet grandchildren. She adored her eight grandchildren and her precious great-granddaughter. She had a kind and loving spirit and will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Wayland A. Wright; daughters, Kathy Brown and Lacey Gibson and husband, Kelly; grandchildren, Micah Perry, Evan Johnston, Ryan Gibson, Alicen Brown, Troy Brown, Jamie Brown, Crystal Brown and James Robert Brown; and great-granddaughter, Marlee Duran. Alice was preceded by her son, Clay Lee Wright; and father, Audie Richey.

Graveside funeral services were held Monday, November 16, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. in Victor Cemetery with Brother Ray Seckinger officiating.

The family would like to thank her caregiver, Nellie Villarreal, for her dedication and love shown towards Alice.
