Anita Renea Corrales Gomez, 49, of De Leon, passed away Saturday, December 28, 2013. She was born September 2, 1964, in Los Angeles, CA.

Anita was self-employed owning a daycare in De Leon. She moved to De Leon in 1984. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, listening to music, and being outdoors. She was friendly to everyone she met and never knew a stranger.

She is survived by her husband, Rogelio Gomez; daughters, Shurya Wright and husband, Dyson, and Carressa Estrada and husband, Matt; son, Dewayne Gomez and Melissa Rennie; grandchildren, Kay'd Gomez, Markus Estrada, Kalissa Estrada and Dalton Wright; sister, Sherry McDonald; brothers, Andre Benitez and Ricky Hamilton; niece, Whitney Barefoot; nephews, Jeffery Sones and Brandon McDonald; and other extended family.

Anita has gone home to join her son, Abel Gomez; grandson, Dyson Robert Wright II; mother, Judy Holland Beck; grandmother, Esmer Wilmont; and uncle, Clarence Holland.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 31, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at Nowlin Anders Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery. Brother Jackie Auvenshine will officiate the services.

Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
