Ann Rush Crenshaw, 71, of San Angelo, passed peacefully August 27, 2018, at her home. She was born April 9, 1947, in Gorman to Loyd Raymon Rush and Cynthia Pauline Covington Rush.
Ann was raised in De Leon and graduated with the Class of 1965. Ann enjoyed reuniting with classmates and taking trips with many of them. She retired from nursing after many decades of service. Ann thoroughly enjoyed nursing and the relationships she was able to build with so many people as she helped them through difficult times in their lives. Ann enjoyed many hobbies including shopping and traveling. Her greatest enjoyment in life was her family. Her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews were the light of her life and she cherished every moment spent with them. Ann was a devoted wife, loving mother, daughter, sister, and a true friend to so many. She will be missed beyond measure by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived her husband, Rusty Harris; mother, Pauline Rush; son, Edward Thomas Crenshaw III and wife, Ann Marie; step-daughter, Ellen Jean Gutierrez; brother, Loyd Rush and wife, Pam; sister, Shirley Rorie and husband, Joe; grandchildren, Amber Schornstein and husband, Stephen, and Brittany Crenshaw; step-grandchildren, Alexandria Ashley Gutierrez and Isabella Gutierrez; great-grandchildren, Alexis Schornstein, Matthew Schornstein and Jackson Schornstein; step great-grandchild, Carter Gutierrez; nieces and nephews, Melanie Rush Taylor, Jeffery Rorie, Chad Rush, Jennifer Rorie Williams, Steve Ray Rorie, Alex Rorie, Christopher Rorie; spouses children; and other extended family. Ann has been reunited with her first husband, Edward Thomas Crenshaw, Jr., and her father, Loyd Raymon Rush.
Funeral services celebrating Ann's life were held Friday, August 31, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at Nowlin Anders Funeral Home with Brother Kenneth Wilson officiating. Graveside services followed in De Leon Cemetery.
