Anna Delphia (Brewer) McDowell, 81, resided in De Leon, Texas for the past twenty one years. She passed away Saturday, April 6, 2019, at De Leon Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born February 18, 1938, in Oklahoma to Albert W. and Bertha B. Brewer. Anna married John McDowell Sr. in 1955,who preceded her in 1983.

Anna is survived by her son, Jackie Ray McDowell and wife, Debra, of De Leon; daughter, Patricia Robinson and husband, James F., of Arlington; and son, John Jackson McDowell, Jr.; grandchildren, Sherry Stephens and husband, Blake, Shirley Robinson, and Bobby McDowell and wife, Samantha, Dalynn Johnson and husband, Cody, and Jeremy Knox; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Kara Stephens, Mason Robinson, Savannah and Abby McDowell, Kaley Floyd, and Avis and Vanessa Johnson. Anna was preceded in death by her husband, John McDowell Sr. and son, Jessie Lee McDowell.

Anna was a loving and devoted homemaker for her family. She enjoyed many hobbies including spending time outdoors, fishing and hunting. She also enjoyed playing bingo with her friends. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Anna's wishes were to have a private family gathering and to be laid to rest in Alameda Cemetery near Ranger beside her husband.
