Thomas
Jan 7, 1931 — Nov 4, 2019
Anna Lois Thomas, 88, of Austin, Texas passed away November 4, 2019. She was born January 7, 1931, in Sidney, Texas the only child of Claude and Louise Clough. Lois married Garland Ray Thomas July 13, 1950.

She was a member of Baptist Church of Austin. Lois worked at Capital National Bank which became Texas Commerce Bank. During her career there, she made many lifelong friends. Several of those friendships lasted well beyond her retirement in 1993. She enjoyed getting together with friends and family to play Bridge and Dominoes or 42 games, as well as going out to dinner and attending other social activities. Lois loved pets and never had a house without dogs or cats or some other type of pet. She loved to travel with her family and was able to see all parts of the country from California to New York and Niagara Falls to Disney World. In her later years, she delighted most in spending time with family and especially her children and grandchildren who remained close to her throughout her life.
Lois was the type of person who would walk into a room full of strangers and walk out with many new friends. She had the amazing ability to form real and lasting friendships with people from all walks of life and across all generations. She was devoted to her family and always found joy in doing kind things for others.
Lois is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Debra Thomas of Tomball, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Terry Council of Austin; three devoted grandchildren, Jamie and Justin Council of Austin and Zach Thomas of Tomball; other extended family; and many loving friends.
