Beckie Rene Otwell-Wilcox, 59, of Granbury and formerly of De Leon, passed from this life and met her Lord and Savior December 24, 2020. She was born January 20, 1961, in Gorman, Texas to James C. Otwell and Carolyn Atchley Otwell. Beckie married Marvin Wilcox May 23, 2003, in De Leon.

Beckie was raised in De Leon and moved to the Austin area after high school. She was employed as a trailer salesman for many years. She moved back to De Leon to be near family in 2002 where she loved living until she moved to Granbury. While living in De Leon, Beckie was a member of the De Leon Church of Christ (Hwy 6) and later joined the Tolar Baptist Church. She loved both of her church families dearly.

Beckie loved people. She enjoyed long conversations with friends, old and new. Beckie never met a stranger and was outgoing and loving towards everyone she met. Regardless of her current situation, she was sure to be smiling and upbeat, always looking for the positive side of a situation. She enjoyed shopping and traveling. Beckie loved her family; they meant everything to her. She enjoyed family gatherings and talking about days gone by. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt. She will be immeasurably missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband, Marvin Wilcox; sons, Clinton Rogers (Sonja) and Cody Rogers (Lacey); grandchildren, Maddison Otwell, Macie Rogers and Trevor Rogers; brother, Dustynn Otwell (Marie); sisters, Vicki Otwell Campbell and De'Onza Moore; nephews, Chance Wright and Joshua Stevens; niece, Peyton Otwell; other extended family; and many loving friends. Beckie has been reunited with her parents, James and Carolyn Otwell; and grandparents, Mildred and Pans Otwell and Joe and Mae Atchley.

Graveside memorial services will be held Saturday, January 30, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. in Comyn Cemetery with Minister Kris Groda officiating.
