Obituary

Bernard Keith, 93, of Desdemona, went home to his Lord and Savior March 15, 2019. He was born November 14, 1925, in Desdemona to Major J. Keith and Mary Ethel Partain Keith. Bernard married his loving wife of sixty-seven years, Laura Ann Cameron, September 29, 1951, in Odessa.

Bernard proudly served in the United States Army during WWII. He was a skilled electrician for Exxon Pipeline for many decades. He and Laura moved to Desdemona in 1986 and have been long-time members of Highland Baptist Church in Victor. Bernard enjoyed many hobbies including fishing, hunting, and spending time outdoors, and collecting belt buckles and knives. He was talented at whittling wood and playing the harmonica. The greatest joy in Bernard's life was his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Surviving Bernard are his devoted wife, Laura Ann; daughters, Vicki Robinett and Tami Lynn Sanders; son, Bradley M. Keith and wife, Priscilla; grandchildren, Nikki Robinett Febinger and husband, Billy; Keitha Robinett and Kevin Avants, Derek Robinett and wife, Heather, David Griffith and Sheila Allen, Robyn Griffith, Jenna Keith, Andrea Nehring and husband, Jason, Brian Keith and Brett Keith; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews; and other extended family.

Bernard was preceded in death by his parents, Major and Mary Ethel Keith; daughter, Kimberly Jo Keith; brother, Mack Keith; sister, Vonnie Guthery; and sons-in-law, DeWitt Robinett and Bill Sanders.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 19, 2019, at 10 a.m. at Highland Baptist Church, Victor, with Pastor Burt Atkins and Pastor David Locke officiating. Interment followed in Victor Cemetery.  If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Hopeful Hearts Foundation at PO Box 437015, Louisville, KY 40253.
