Billie Eldon Skaggs, 84, of San Angelo and formerly of De Leon passed away Thursday, January 12, 2017. He was born February 18, 1932, in Gorman, Texas, to Byron Buford Skaggs and Elsie Mae Bunting Skaggs.

He lived in the San Angelo State School in Carlsbad, Texas, for thirty five years. Billie enjoyed taking long walks and he loved his family very much. He will be deeply missed by all who loved him.

Billie is survived by three brothers, Albert Glen Skaggs and wife, Jackie, of Oklahoma; Bruce Skaggs and wife, Maxine, of Midland, Texas, and Willie Alvin Skaggs and wife, Billye, of Granbury, Texas; many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Byron and Elsie Skaggs; brother, Zollie Desmond Skaggs; and twin sister, Mae Evelyn Skaggs.


Funeral services were held Monday, January 16, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at Nowlin Anders Funeral Home with Brother Tim Skaggs officiating. Graveside services followed in De Leon Cemetery.
