Billy Ray Warren, 78, of De Leon, peacefully passed from this life Monday, December 15, 2025, at his home. He was born January 9, 1947, in Houston, Texas to William R. Warren and Katie M. Kersten Warren. Billy married his loving wife Connie L. Bagley.
Billy and Connie moved to De Leon in the early 2000's. They are members of De Leon First Baptist Church. Above all else, Billy loved the Lord and his family. He retired from the State of Texas after serving many decades in the transportation department. Billy loved watching high school and college football, listening to music, and spending time outdoors. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be missed deeply by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Warren; children, Jerry Homan and wife, Amber, Christopher Ellis, Sandra Mikush, Susie Gumina and husband, Steve, Charlene Maresh, and Rhonda Reno; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Cheryl Ann McGaughley; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family. Billy was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Craig; and two aunts.
Memorial services celebrating Billy's life were held Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at De Leon First Baptist Church with Pastor Ben McCleery officiating. Graveside committal followed in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Comanche.
