Bobby Ray
Craig
Feb 28, 1948 — Mar 8, 2020
Bobby Ray Craig, 72, passed from this life on Sunday, March 8, 2020, at his home in Desdemona, Texas. He was born February 28, 1948, in Ft. Worth, Texas to Rufus Craig and Melva Dean Ticknor Craig.
After graduating High School, Bobby proudly served as a Sergeant in the United States Army. Following his honorable discharge from the military, Bobby married his loving wife of forty-nine years on August 14, 1970, in Hurst, Texas. He then received an associate degree from TCJC. They grew their family and raised their sons, Clay and Bryan, in Springtown where Bobby was employed by General Dynamics/Lockheed Martin retiring after 38 years. Bobby was an involved father, coaching pee-wee football, little league baseball, and was always their biggest fan from the sidelines. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and loved hunting. Bobby and Carol moved to Desdemona in 2017 to be able to slow down and enjoy the peace and quiet. They attended Morton Chapel in De Leon where they grew to love their church family. He was a devoted husband, loving father, doting grandfather, loving brother and loyal friend to many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Carol Rogers Craig; sons, Clay Craig (Rachel), Bryan Craig (Amanda); grandchildren, Jordan, Jaden, Colton and Della; sister, Susie Stark (Brad); numerous nieces, nephews, cousins; and other extended family. Bobby has been reunited with his parents, Rufus and Dean Craig; and brother, William Craig.
