Bonnie Faye Swanner Goree, 98, went home peacefully to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 4, 2025. She was born July 12, 1927, in Comyn, Texas to Roy and Rosie Swanner, who were longtime peanut farmers. They lived in Comyn just down the road from Jones Crossing.

Bonnie later moved to De Leon, making it her final residence. She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Geraldine Sanders and Dortha Dee Mahan Groom; brother, Baby Roy; and her parents. Bonnie is survived by her two daughters, Bonnie Ray Wilcher of Waco and Brenda Boudreau of Stephenville; three grandchildren, Jesse Lee Damron, Jonathan Ross Burt, and Jolene Elizabeth Keyes. Bonnie was blessed with three great grandsons, Levi Cook, Russ Keyes, and Myles Keyes.

Graveside funeral services were held Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. in Comyn Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Comyn Baptist Church in memory of Bonnie.
