Brian A. Parsons, 44, a life-long resident of De Leon, Texas, passed from this life February 7, 2026. He was born November 20, 1981, in Temple, Texas to Wayne Truett Parsons, II, and Mary Margaret Williamson Parsons.
Brian was raised in De Leon and graduated with the class of 2000. He briefly attended Ranger College and then enlisted in the United States Army. He proudly served a tour in Iraq from which he received many service medals in recognition of his bravery. Brian was most recently employed as a cheese wrapper operator for Schreiber Foods in Stephenville.
He enjoyed many hobbies including golfing, fishing, and ghost hunting. He loved technology and computers. His greatest joy in life was his son, Jacob, and he was so incredibly proud of him. Brian was a light to many, and he will be missed beyond measure.
He is survived by his son, Jacob Parsons; father, Wayne Parsons II; sister, Karen Wilkerson; grandmother, LaVelle Parsons; aunt, LaVerne Dillahsaw; uncle, Gary Parsons; nephews, Wesley Wilkerson-Spence (Glen), Landon Wilkerson (Kenna), Christopher Young (Laura); and other extended family. Brian was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Parsons; grandfather, Wayne Parsons; grandparents, Wayne and Lila Williamson.
Graveside funeral services were held Friday, February 13, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. in Indian Creek Cemetery with Ben Rowell officiating. Honorary pallbearers were Landon Wilkerson, Chris Young, Wesley Wilkerson-Spence, Nicky Don Wilkerson, and Jeffery Grumbles.
