Bruce Fields, 60, of Ft. Worth and formerly of De Leon, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2016. He was born July 2, 1955, in Dublin, Texas to Horace and Edythe Bentley Fields.
Bruce had been employed for many years as a truck driver in the oil field. Bruce was full of life and enjoyed many hobbies. He loved to ride bikes and especially loved Harley Davidson and Indian motorcycles. He was a kind and giving man who would help anyone in need. Bruce had a very rare blood type and often donated blood to help premature babies. He also spent a lot of time gathering stuffed animals for the children at Cook Children's Hospital and for local police departments to give to children in their communities. He loved his family and many friends and will be missed immeasurably by all who knew him.
He is survived by his sons, Frank Fields and Bruce Fields; step-son, John Rouse; step-daughter, Susie Rouse; grandchildren, Isabelle Grace Fields, Brandon Tucker Fields, Anthony Boone Fields and Copeland Grea Fields; brothers, Terry Fields and wife, Winnie, and Roger Fields and wife, Paula; sister, Martha Lammons; sister-in-law, Olivia Fields; nieces, Donna Cook, Debbie Andrews, Sheila Griffith and Natasha Jacobs; nephews, Jeff Fields, Don Fields, Shane Fields, Greg Fields, Jason Fields, Cliff Lammons, Rick Lammons, Mark Lammons and Brian Lammons; numerous great nieces and great nephews; other extended family; and special friends, James Woods and Darlene Woods.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Edythe Bentley Fields; brothers, Horace Fields, Jr. and Maurice Fields; and nephew, Jack Fields.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 7, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at Nowlin Anders Funeral Home with Brother Daniel Burlison and Brother Kenneth Wilson officiating. Graveside services followed in De Leon Cemetery.
