Charlene Roberts, 70, of Crowley, formerly of De Leon, passed peacefully from this life May 18, 2021, with her loving family by her side. She was born January 6, 1951, in Del Rio, Texas to Charles F. Roberts and Mary Wanda Ratliff Roberts.

Charlene graduated from Llano High School and was employed with the De Leon Nursing Home as the Activities Director for many years and later was a caregiver with the state mental institute in Sweetwater for several years. Charlene was a member of United Pentecostal Church of De Leon and loved her church family dearly. She enjoyed many hobbies including crafting, drawing, and singing. She loved butterflies and spending time with her family. Charlene was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and loyal friend to many. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her brothers, Charlie Roberts and wife, Candy; Tommy Roberts and wife, Johnna; sisters, Junie Roberts and Reedy Welch and husband, Buddy; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family; and special friends, Penny Hess and Lois. Charlene has been reunited with her parents; and one brother, Johnny Roberts.

Graveside funeral services celebrating Charlene's life were held Friday, May 21, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. in De Leon Cemetery with Pastor Varence Dupre officiating.
