Obituary

Charlotte Dendy, 71, of Brownwood, Texas passed from this life peacefully and was carried in the arms of Angels to her eternal home to meet Jesus face to face. She was born January 22, 1950, in Midland, to Alvin and Geneva Stewart McCain. She spent most of her childhood in Eastland County. She married Ray Dendy in 1966 and they moved to Fort Worth where they raised their family.

Charlotte had a lot of ambition in life and was an overachiever, to say the least. She obtained her beautician license and opened her own beauty shop. Then she went on to obtain her Real Estate License as a selling agent and broker, and ultimately became a licensed Real Estate Appraiser and Insurance Agent. Possessing an extensive sales background, she established an embroidery and promotional products business with her family in 1989 which she enjoyed operating until her retirement in 2015. In her spare time, Charlotte loved to cook and spend time with her loving family enjoying her wonderful meals. While Charlotte was always a beautiful and classy lady, her true gift in life was her ability to show kindness and make others feel important always.  She was a devoted and loving wife to Ray, a committed and selfless mother to her two sons, a loving sister, and a loyal friend to so many. Charlotte will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband of fifty-five years, Ray Dendy; sons, Greg Dendy and Doug Dendy and wife, Mandi; best friend and sister-in-law, Jan Larmer; granddaughter, Ashley Dendy Utley and husband, Joedee; great-grandchildren, Carlee, Paris and Hailey Utley; sisters, Joyce Fisher and husband, Lee, Geraldine Boykin, and Barbara Green and husband, Duane; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family. Charlotte has been reunited with her parents, six siblings and extended family.

The tent seating will be reserved for immediate family only. We are saddened that we cannot currently allow friends to pay their respects to the Dendy family with a traditional visitation and ceremony. The family appreciates your understanding of the graveside safety regulations and is thankful for your continued prayers and kind thoughts during this difficult time.
