Chris Query, 48, of De Leon, peacefully passed from this life on Sunday, March 31, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family and close friends. Chris was born November 13, 1975, in Boise, Idaho to Harry Jim Query and Norma Jean (Samantha) Beeghly. Chris married his loving wife of twenty-one years, Cassie Cannady, on March 22, 2003.

Chris and Cassie made De Leon their home in 2019 and have been blessed by many special friendships here. Chris was an independent carpenter by trade. He was very talented with his hands and could build, fix, or repair just about anything. He was a true craftsman who was always detail oriented, hardworking, and took pride in his work. Chris loved the Lord more than anything in his life. He loved to study God's word and read his Bible. He also loved to play the guitar and sing. He was a loving family man and enjoyed family gatherings. He was always happiest spending time outdoors and loved to throw darts and play cornhole with his buddies and family. Chris was passionate about God, his family, and living life to the fullest. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his family is celebrating his eternal presence with the Lord.

Chris is survived by his wife, Cassie Query; sons, Caleb Query and Solomon Query; daughters, Cassandra Powell and Coralyn Query; grandchildren, Jamey, Jasper, and Hendrix; brothers, James Query and Mike Query; and sister, Dayle Garcia. He was preceded in death by his mother, Samantha Beeghly.

Chris was interred in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Comanche County, in a private family graveside committal.
