Christine Hinson, 92, of De Leon, Texas, passed away March 17, 2021, in Comanche. She was born to Virgil McLearen and Bertha Mae Thompson McLearen August 22, 1928. She married Huston Hinson and they enjoyed a loving marriage. He preceded her in death in 1993.

Christine had lived in the De Leon community for over forty years moving here from Lubbock. She was a Christian and loved the Lord. She was a devoted homemaker for her family, and she was always her happiest while attending family gatherings. Christine loved being outdoors, planting and gardening, and spending time with her cats. She was a loving wife, attentive mother, doting grandmother, and caring friend. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son, Wayne McLearen; daughters, Geneva Durham and husband, Larry, and Gayle King and husband, James; grandchildren, Terry McLearen and wife, Simone, Eric Turzer, Jimmy Wayne McLearen and wife, Karrie, Todd Turzer and wife, Beth, Cliffton Don McLearen and wife, Valarie; eight-great-grandchildren; brothers, Ray McLearen and Donald McLearen and wife, Betty; sister, Monty Rasco; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

Christine was preceded in death by her husband, Huston; son, Lonnie D. McLearen; parents, Virgil and Bertha McLearen; one great grandson, Dustin McLearen; three brothers, Delbert, Floyd, and Sonny; and two sisters, Ruby Marie Pruitt and Opal McLearen.

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. John Woodard officiating. Interment followed in Oakland Cemetery.
