Clifton Cornelius Reynolds, of De Leon, Texas, passed away on January 13, 2026. He was born on June 7, 1950, in Aspermont, Texas. Clifton lived a life defined by service, dedication, and a love for his family.
He proudly served in the United States Army, attaining the rank of Crew Chief on a medevac helicopter. During his service in the Vietnam War, he was awarded the Air Medal in 1972. Distinguishing himself by meritorious achievement while participating in sustained aerial flight in support of combat ground forces in the Republic of Vietnam. He actively participated in more than twenty-five aerial missions over hostile territory in support of operations against communist aggression.
Following his military service, Clifton worked as an ASE Certified Mechanic for General Motors throughout his life.
Clifton is survived by five siblings: Margie Bougue, Connie Ashbrennar, Bonnie Vick, Bill Reynolds, and Lee Reynolds; the mother of his children, Kathy Porter; four children: Jeannie Murchison, Teresa Lackey, Shanda Harlin, and Brandon Reynolds; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Iva Reynolds, and five siblings: James and Wayne Reynolds, Mae Harendt, Lorita Jones, and Mary Richards.
The memorial service was held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 2 PM, at Nowlin Anders Funeral Home. Clifton will be remembered for his unwavering patriotism, strength of character, and the lasting legacy of service he leaves behind.
