Danny Joe Hardin, 71, of De Leon, peacefully passed away Sunday, November 18, 2018. He was born January 15, 1947, in Gorman, Texas to Loyd Lovett and Vivian Snider Hardin. Danny married his loving wife of 46 years, Joanne Fritz, June 4, 1972, at the Assembly of God Church, De Leon.
Danny lived in the De Leon community most all of his life other than the time he dedicated to serving his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War Era. He and Joanne are long-time members of the Assembly of God Church of De Leon. They raised their family in De Leon and have always loved being part of the De Leon community. Danny enjoyed many hobbies but especially loved lifting weights. He was a loving husband, devoted father and doting grandfather. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Danny is survived by his loving wife, Joanne Hardin; children, Klinton Hardin, Kellie Sparger and husband, Matt, Karrie Kubiak and husband, Wayne, Kimberly Smith and husband, Joshua, and Kandie Hodges and husband, Josh; twelve grandchildren; one great-granchild; brothers, Donnie Hardin and wife, Melinda, and Rocky Hardin and wife, Tracey; sisters, Glenda Weaver and husband, Bodie, and Karen Sharp and husband, Boyd; brother-in-law, Jimmy Farley and wife, Martha; numerous nieces and nephews; and other extended family. Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Loyd and Vivian Hardin; sister, Sandra Farley.
Funeral services celebrating Danny's life were held Wednesday, November 21, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at De Leon First Baptist Church with Jim Farley and Rocky Hardin speaking. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Assembly of God Church, De Leon, or to the charity of your choice, in memory of Danny.
