Denver Charles
Trask
Sep 22, 2021 — Oct 9, 2021
Denver Charles Trask, infant son of Nicholas Trask and Jessica Raylynn Smith, was called to his eternal home and passed gently into the arms of Jesus Saturday, October 9, 2021, at 18 days old. Born September 22, 2021, in Abilene, Texas, Denver made such a lasting impression on his loving family in his short time here on earth. Denver was a determined fighter from the moment he arrived and fought as hard as he possibly could to give his parents time to love on him. While his time here was brief, Denver leaves a lasting memory his family will cherish always.
He is survived by his loving parents, Nick and Jessica; paternal grandparents, Hal and Trudy Trask; maternal grandparents, Mark and Leslie Walker, and Jamie Smith; great-grandparents, Gary and Thelma Hackler, Sam and Mary Clark, Jenny Smith, Joan Lowe, and Russell Walker; aunts and uncles, Jaylin Smith, Hal Trask, Erica Walker, and Zane Walker; and other extended family. The family takes comfort in knowing Denver has joined many of his loving grandparents in Heaven: Charles and Eyvonne Hackler, Maxine Briggs, John and Ima Jean Smith, and John Carl Smith.
Graveside funeral services were held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 16, 2021, at Eastland City Cemetery in the pavilion with Rev. Jim Wright officiating. The family requests memorial contributions be made in memory of Denver to the Doing it for Denver Scholarship Fund (Nick Trask & Jessica Smith) established at First Financial Bank, Eastland.
Denver's family would like to thank the doctors and staff of Cook Children's Medical Center for the loving care provided to Denver and their entire family. Also, to the many friends who have shown them love and support in so many ways throughout this difficult journey. Words are inadequate to express their gratitude to each of you.
