Dessie Ada Fronterhouse, 99 years of age, went home to her Lord and Savior July 21, 2020, in Brownwood. She was born April 10, 1921, to Floyd Lecoy King and Ollie Esther Cheatwood King. Dessie married Himon Lee Fronterhouse on December 2, 1939 in Oklahoma.

Dessie and Himon moved their family from Hedley, Texas to De Leon in 1965. She was a long time member of De Leon Church of Christ Hwy 6. Dessie was a loving and devoted homemaker for her family. She loved hosting large family gatherings and cooking for her family. She was a talented quilter and left her family many treasured keepsakes to remember her by. Dessie was a kindhearted woman who loved her family and many friends dearly. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her sons, Wayland (Penny) Fronterhouse; Jerry (Connie) Fronterhouse; daughter, Sheila Fletcher; brothers, Dennis King and wife, Vada; sister, Josie Hunter; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and other extended family. Dessie was preceded in death by her husband, Himon Lee Fronterhouse in 1989; son, Don Fronterhouse; and daughter, Lila Moore.

Private family graveside  services were held in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Comanche, Texas, with Minister Rick Smitherman officiating.
