Dorothy Faye Lacy, 79, of De Leon, passed away Friday, December 13, 2013, at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born May 20, 1934, in Table Mountains, Oklahoma, to Vernon Lee Tillery and Ruby Mae Ellithorpe. Dorothy married Harley E. Lacy on January 24, 1951 in Oklahoma City.
Dorothy was a loving and devoted homemaker for her family. She and Harley had lived in the De Leon community since 1986, having previously lived in Burleson, Texas. Dorothy loved to paint, garden and grow flowers. She enjoyed fishing, camping, playing cards and dominoes.
Survivors are her husband of 63 years, Harley E. Lacy; daughters, Jennifer Ryan and husband, Mike, Gayle Lacy, Carla Reeves and husband, Rob, Debbie Smith, and Kristie Reeves and husband, Guy; grandchildren, Julie Mudd, Rebekah Whitehead, Robert Reeves, Jr., Rachael Thalken, Josh Smith, Keli Osborn, Bree Smith, Jake Smith, Jason Skyles, Taylor Skyles, Cody Reeves and Ashley Reeves; great grandchildren, Ryan Mudd, Christopher Mudd, Asya Whitehead, Ethan Whitehead, Chloe Whitehead, Annika Reeves, Gabriel Reeves, Lily Reeves, Ashlyn Thalken, Cailyn Thalken, Nova Smith, Shiloh Smith, Chloe Wilson, Julian Wilson, Dakota Smith, Layla Smith, Ashtyn Henas Osborn, Molly Osburn, David Osburn, Oli Smith, Gracen Skyles, Callie Skyles and Zed Reeves; brother, Larry Tillery; numerous nieces and nephews; and other extended family.
Dorothy has gone home to join her parents; brother, Bob Tillery; and sister, Carol Mays.
Graveside funeral services were held Monday, December 16, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Comanche County, with Chaplain Mike Hannah officiating.
