Obituary

Edith Robinett Brownlee, 101, of De Leon, peacefully passed away August 31, 2018. She was born July 31, 1917, in De Leon to Steve and Ina Jane Robinett. Edith was married to Olon F. Brownlee on September 6, 1934.

Edith lived her entire life in De Leon. She was a long-time member of De Leon First United Methodist Church and U.M.W. She loved the Lord, her church and her church family. Edith was a devoted and loving homemaker for her family. She enjoyed many hobbies including gardening, playing the guitar and fishing. Her gardens were always beautiful and bountiful. Edith's greatest joy in life was her family. She loved each of them dearly and cherished her time spent with them. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son, Joe Edward Brownlee; daughter, Dolores Jeanne Cooper; nine grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

Edith was preceded in death by her husband, Olon F. Brownlee; sons, William Chester Brownlee and Samuel Lester Brownlee; parents, Steve and Ina Jane Robinett; brothers, Earl Sadberry and Jack Robinett; and sister, Delphia Robinett.

Graveside funeral services were held Monday, September 3, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. in De Leon Cemetery with Don McKee Officiating.
