Obituary

Ella Louise Stacy, 81, of Fort Worth, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2014. She was born April 3, 1933, in Iredell, Texas to Brady J. and Annie M. Hufstutler. She was the oldest of 4 daughters and 1 son.

Louise graduated from Comanche High School in 1951. On March 3, 1951, she married Ira C. "Sonny" Stacy, Jr. in De Leon, Texas. Louise spent over 15 years working as a record keeper for Cowtown Speedway in Kennedale, TX.

She enjoyed cooking for her family, holiday gatherings, reading, shared birthday dinners with granddaughter, Cheryl Henault, long talks on the phone with family and all her many friends from the racing community. Louise loved traveling and was an avid navigator for Sonny on their many adventures across the country, always with her ever present maps handy.

She is survived by her husband, Ira C. Stacy, Jr.; sons, Ira Eugene Stacy and wife, Linda, and Milton Earl Stacy and wife, Phillis; grandchildren, Jessica Moore and husband, Richard, Jennifer McKee, Thomas Stacy and wife, Nicki, Cheryl Henault and husband, Josh, and Christopher Stacy; step grandson, William Horton and wife, Diana; numerous great grandchildren; sisters, Bobbie Pierce and Catherine Ross; brother, Roy Hufstutler; and several nieces, nephews and other extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Francine Partin.

Breathe easy now, Grandma. We love you!

Graveside funeral services were held Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. in De Leon Cemetery. Brother Gerald Gunstanson officiated the service.
