Elnora Lindley, 83, a longtime resident of Desdemona, Texas passed from this life Monday, July 25, 2022, with her loving family by her side. She was born November 11, 1938, in Olden, Texas to Lomer Elton Phelps and Vadis Murray Phelps. Elnora married her loving husband of sixty-four years, Winford Winnell Lindley, on June 21, 1957, in De Leon.

Elnora lived in Eastland and Comanche counties all her life. She owned and operated High Fashion Salon in Gorman, alongside her sister Faye Tucker, for over forty years. She was a devoted and loving homemaker for family. She was a wonderful cook and talented seamstress. She quilted many special pieces for her family to treasure always. Many considered her the "neighborhood mother" as she was always welcoming and feeding all the community children. Elnora had a servant's heart and was always kind and generous to others. She loved her Lord and shared that love through her kind deeds towards others. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother, a special sister, and loving friend to many. Elnora will be missed beyond measure.

She is survived by her daughters, Mitzi McGaha, and Kelley Carruth and husband, Jim; grandchildren, Cory Carruth and wife, Katie, Joshua Carruth and wife, Stormi, Lindsey McGaha, Ally Neslony and husband, Micah; and Macy McGaha; great-grandchildren, Pecos, Laiken, Avarie, Kye, Mesa, Owen, Krece, Hudson, and Hayden; sister, Faye Tucker; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family. Elnora has been reunited with her husband, Winford; daughter, Pamela; parents; and grandson, Cullen.

Funeral services celebrating Elnora's life were held Friday, July 29, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Nowlin Anders Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dr. Lisa Neslony officiating. Interment followed in Murray Memorial Cemetery in Carbon.
