Esther Stewart, age 86, of De Leon, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2019. She was born May 1, 1932, in Belkofski, Alaska to John Dushkin and Xenia Kochoten Dushkin. Esther married Olin Eugene Stewart February 14, 1958, in Anchorage, Alaska.

Olin and Esther moved to De Leon from San Angelo in 1986. Esther was a long-time Russian Orthodox. She was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years and loved helping people. She enjoyed many hobbies including spending time outdoors, fishing, playing bingo and gambling. Esther's greatest joy in life was her family. She was always her happiest while spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Surviving Esther are her children, Henry Gene Stewart and wife, Rhonda Czeto, Roger Wayne Stewart and wife, Michelle, Bobby Joe Stewart, Patricia Jean Stewart-Toon, and Evelyn Stewart Fitzgerald and husband, Billy; grandchildren, Darrell Gray, Phillip Gray, Rashauna Fitzgerald, Nikki Fitzgerald, Joshua Lovelace, Ashley Holland, Johnny Ray Stewart, Ana Stewart ,Tracy Stewart, Misty Stremer, Megan Stewart, Bailey Wilson, and Brady Hooper; eighteen great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; brother, Victor Dushkin; sister, Pauline Larsen; numerous nieces and nephews; and other extended family. Esther was preceded in death by her husband, Olin; sons, John Henry Stewart and Johnny Ray Stewart, Sr.; and her parents.

Graveside funeral services celebrating Esther's life were held Saturday, April 27, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Comanche.
