Frankie
Morris
Sep 26, 1930 — Jul 3, 2021
Frankie Zane Morris, 90, of De Leon, Texas went home to meet her Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 3, 2021, with her loving family by her side. She was born September 26, 1930, in Stamford, Texas to James Wesley Foster and Irene Cooper Foster. Following the death of her father, Frankie moved to De Leon, Texas to live with her beloved grandparents, William Thomas Foster and Essie D. Foster. In De Leon she met and married the love of her life, William Thomas Morris on June 7, 1947.
She was a homemaker but also a farmer's wife, which meant anything that needed doing, she did it. She was a wonderful cook and took great delight in cooking for others. She loved for people to enjoy her food.
She was a talented seamstress; she loved to create and sew. If you could describe what you wanted, she could make it. For many years she owned and operated a shop for handcrafted children's clothing, Little Bo-Tique. There she designed and created custom clothing, from tiny baby gowns to intricate pageant gowns. She loved crafts of all kinds but had a special gift for and love of sewing.
Frankie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and mother-in-law. She was devoted to her family. She expanded that family to include anyone and everyone that touched her life and the lives of her family. That love made evident by the many who knew her and called her Nanny.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, two brothers, Benny Glenn Foster and Jessie Dwain Foster, and her beloved William.
Surviving Frankie are her children, Alan (Butch) Morris and wife, Terry; Troy Morris and wife, Darnell, Rebecca (Becky) Mahan and husband, Toby; and Lee Morris, all of De Leon; grandchildren, Jason Morris, Angela Gooden and husband, Rickey, Joshua Mahan and wife, Carol, Lisa Cooper and husband, Joe, Ryan Mahan and wife, Jill, Brittney Culver and husband, Sam, Presley Rohrer and husband, Destin, Landon Morris and wife, Tara, Timothy Henson and wife, Lori, and Tami Henson; great-grandchildren, Lauren Morris, Slade Gooden, Neeley J. Gooden, Avery Mahan, Gage Mahan, Gunner Mahan, Jake Cooper, J'Lee Cooper, Rhett Mahan, Rylan Mahan, Collyns Culver, Travis Culver, Bostyn Rohrer, Baelyn Rohrer, Zachary Henson and wife, Candice, Alexis Fike and husband, William, Hannah Wostarek and husband, Al; great-great grandchildren, Erin Davis, Jacob Fike, Brooklyn Wostarek, Carson Wostarek, and Riley Wostarek; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Funeral services celebrating Frankie's life were held Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joe Baptist Church with Brother Matt Morton officiating. Interment followed in Oliver Springs Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Jason Morris, Joshua Mahan, Ryan Mahan, Landon Morris, Rickey Gooden, Joe Cooper, Sam Culver, and Destin Rohrer.
