Fred D. McCarty, Jr, 77, of Roanoke, passed away November 10, 2018. He was born September 6, 1941, in Hazeldell, Texas, to Fred D. McCarty, Sr. and Venita Stockham McCarty.

Fred proudly served in the United States Army and worked as a Plastic Molding Technician for many decades. He enjoyed many hobbies including hunting, fishing and racing motorcycles. He also loved boating and water skiing. Fred enjoyed his time spent with his loving family and many friends. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his sons, Fred McCarty III and wife, Julie, Harrold McCarty and wife, Kelly, and Warren McCarty; daughters, Teresa McCarty and Melissa Scroggins; sisters, Linda JoAnn Gray and Micki Crews; three grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and other extended family. Fred was preceded by his parents; and brother, Johnny Michael McCarty.

Graveside funeral services were held Saturday, November 17, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. in Siloam Cemetery, Gustine, Comanche County, with Brother Daniel Harper officiating.
