Gary
Bellomy
Sep 2, 1968 — Dec 16, 2020
Gary Allen Bellomy, 52 beloved husband, father, son, and brother went to be the with the Lord on Wednesday, December 16, 2020.
Gary worked at Camp Soroptimist, while in college. He found a beautiful combination. Here his love for camping was combined with an atmosphere for children and young adults with physical and mental struggles, to come together perfectly. He loved helping the campers have a fun week at camp. Here they got to be like every other kid and experience the joys of camping. This camp had an enormous effect on Gary. He went on to get a degree in Therapeutic Recreation. Then he decided to become a Physical Therapist. He graduated from the University of Texas, Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas in 1996. He worked in several areas as a Physical Therapist. He loved helping people get back to living their best life possible.
Gary married Casie in 1993. He had 3 wonderful kids. His world revolved around his family. He was proud of his children and loved being the fan in the stands supporting their activities. He loved family time, rather that was hanging out watching movies, playing games, anything outdoors, especially enjoying the farm. He was so proud of his kids and knew they had wonderful futures ahead.
He loved the Lord. His happiest days were when each of the kids accepted the Lord and were baptized. He loved finding and working on old junk, like clocks, radios, fans, and mechanical games. He could build and fix anything. He loved old signs and advertising memorabilia. His pride and joy was his 1952 Chevy truck, named Lizzy.
Gary is survived by his loving wife, Casie Bellomy of De Leon and their children Blake, Kirk and Brooke. His parents Don and Brenda Bellomy of Joshua. His brother David of Whitney and his wife Traci. He had 3 nephews, 2 nieces and a large extended family who loved him dearly.
