Geneva Stevens Nabors, 95, of De Leon, went home to her Lord and Savior Monday, June 5, 2017, with her family by her side.

She was born January 8, 1922, in Suez, Texas to Richard Stevens and Edna Horn Stevens. Geneva married Cotton Nabors.

Geneva lived in De Leon almost her entire life. She was a long time member of First Christian Church, faithfully serving there for over sixty five years. Geneva was a talented beautician for many decades. She enjoyed playing all kinds of games, traveling to new places, gardening and growing flowers. Her family was her pride and joy and she was always her happiest while with them. Geneva was a devoted and loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend and neighbor. She will be missed beyond measure by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Black and husband, Don; daughter-in-law, Paulette Nabors; grandchild, Lacy Kastler and husband, Tom; great-grandchildren, Cody Kastler and wife, Zanessa, Jayde Burkett and Baylor Burkett; great-great grandchildren, Aiden Kastler, Arden Kastler and Auburn Kastler; numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Geneva was preceded in death by her loving husband, Cotton Nabors; son, Larry Nabors; grandchildren, Clint and Chad Nabors; and parents, Richard and Edna Stevens.

Funeral services were held Thursday, June 8, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at First Christian Church with Brother Kenneth Wilson officiating. Graveside services followed in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Comanche.
