Genevieve Lou Gregory Gilder, 83, of De Leon, went home to her Lord and Savior Tuesday, May 27, 2014.

She was born January 30, 1931 in Gainesville, Texas, to William Issac Gregory and Frances Jewel Stinnett Gregory. She married W.C. "Cotton" Gilder December 16, 1950, in Marietta, Oklahoma.

Genevieve was a loving and devoted homemaker. She enjoyed cooking and canning. She loved being outdoors and enjoyed gardening and fishing. Genevieve's favorite thing was spending time with her family and her friends. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and she was always incredibly happy while spending time with them.

She is survived by her sons, Curtis Gilder and wife, Debbie, and Terry Gilder; daughter, Judy Coleman; grandchildren, Toby Gilder, Jamie Gilder and Troy Gilder; great-grandchildren, Garrett Gilder and Abigail Gilder; sisters, Martha Gilder and husband, Raymond Lee, and Linda Box; brothers, James Gregory and Gerald Gregory and wife, Dorothy; numerous nieces and nephews; other extended family and a host of loving friends.

Genevieve was preceded in death by her husband, W.C. "Cotton" Gilder; parents, William and Frances Gregory; grandson, George Vybiral; and sister, Emily Delores Gregory.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 31, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at Nowlin Anders Funeral Home. Graveside services followed in Round Grove Cemetery in Erath County. Brother Jackie Auvenshine officiated the services. Music was provided by Rocky and Martha Bunting. Pallbearers were Toby Gilder, Jamie Gilder, Troy Gilder, Greg Gilder, Timmy Dean Gilder and Wayford Smith. Honorary pallbearers were Garrett Gilder and Cliff Fowler.
