Geraldine Richardson, 96, of Midland and formerly of De Leon, passed from this life Sunday, November 24, 2024, in Midland. She was born May 21, 1928, in Comyn, Texas to Charles Adams and Chole Lucas Adams. Geraldine married Lonnie Richardson July 14, 1945, in Dublin.

Geraldine attended school through eighth grade in Comyn and then attended and graduated from Dublin High School. She and Lonnie lived in De Leon most all their married life and were members of De Leon First Baptist Church. She worked in the insurance industry for many decades. When Lonnie passed away in 2016, Geraldine moved to Midland to be close to her family. She always enjoyed gardening and camping. She loved any activity that included her family. Geraldine was a devoted wife of seventy years, loving mother and grandmother, special sister and aunt, and caring friend to many. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son Charles Richardson and wife, Beverly; grandchildren, Melisa Potter and husband, Noland; and Jerry Richardson and wife, Rebecca; great-grandchildren, Kyle, Chaselyn, Shelby, Taylor, and Jaden; six great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family. Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie; parents, Charles and Chole Adams; son, Jerry Ray Richardson, great-grandson, Mayson Richardson; two brothers, and two sisters.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at Nowlin Anders Funeral Home with Brother Paul Winegeart officiating. Interment followed in De Leon Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Jerry Richardson, Kyle Richardson, Noland Potter, Taylor Richardson, Jaden Richardson and Melisa Potter.
