Gerardo Antonio
Jimenez, Jr.
Aug 12, 1998 — Dec 18, 2024
Gerardo Antonio Jimenez (Chano) passed away at his home on December 18, 2024, the same way as he made his arrival, in the arms of his loving mom. Chano was born in Brownwood, Texas on August 12,1998, to Lucy Rangel and Gerardo Jimenez.
Gerardo was raised in De Leon, Texas the majority of his life until he moved to Ft. Worth, Texas. De Leon was always home for him. He loved coming back home to stay every chance he could so he could do what made him truly happy, surrounding himself with the ones that he loved and that loved him but most importantly spending time with his nieces and nephews. He was the comedian, witty and full of joy. Chano loved fishing, playing the accordion and hitting up garage sales on the weekends, often making his mom make random stops anytime he saw a sign. Chano was a kind, gentle soul. He's an inspiration and we should all strive to be like him: loving, caring and forgiving.
Gerardo is survived by his mother, Lucy Rangel; father, Gerardo Jimenez; father figure, Juan Barron; siblings, Felisha Barron (Michael Del Bosque), Janie Amaya (Josh), his favorite little sister and best friend Nayeli Jimenez (Israel Flores), Daisy and Gerardo Jimenez; grandmother, Fabiana Jimenez; great-grandmother, Juana Cerratos; nieces and nephews, Raelynn Sandoval, Amaris Jimenez, Nathaniel Del Bosque and Danny Amaya; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and a vast number of friends. Gerardo's joyful and tender soul will be greatly missed.
He has been greeted with open arms by his grandparents, Felix and Dominga Rangel, Candido Jimenez; aunts, Dora Rangel and Ventura Chavarria; uncle, Francisco Jimenez; and cousin, Vince Flores.

Serving as pallbearers were Daniel Cisneros, Elijah Hernanez, Israel Flores, Anthony Rangel, Benjamin Gonzales, Alex Del Bosque, Damian Garza and Julio Sanchez.
