Obituary

Glenda Kaye Boyd, 72, of Paradise, Texas, went home to her Lord and Savior July 28, 2018. She was born December 3, 1945, in Odessa, Texas to Clayton Tony Reedy and Frances Taylor Reedy. Glenda married her loving husband of 53 years, Adrian T. Boyd, July 3, 1966.

Glenda was a devoted and loving homemaker for her family. She had a true servant's heart and would always happily do for others. She enjoyed taking care of her family and loved spending as much time as possible with them. Glenda was a dedicated Christian and member of Assembly of God Church. She loved the Lord and was always grateful for His many blessings in her life. Glenda enjoyed many hobbies including seamstress work, photography, and painting. She was an incredibly talented artist. She could paint in many different mediums and her talents won her many accolades in the art industry throughout her life. Glenda's favorite hobby of all was her family. They meant everything to her and she was so giving of her love to them. She will be remembered as a wonderful wife, attentive mother, doting grandmother, and sincere friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband, Adrian T. Boyd; son, Adrian Lynn Boyd; daughter, Melodie Kaye Geron and husband, Clifton; grandchildren, Amy Sandlin, Lisa Ware, Breanna Silvey, Daniel Geron, Shelby Geron, Caedmon Boyd, and Malachi Boyd; great-grandchildren, Edna Sandlin, Enoch Sandlin, Geron Sandlin, Aria Ware, Peyton Silvey and Jenson Silvey; brother, Jerry Reedy; numerous nieces and nephews; and other extended family.

Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, Clayton and Frances Reedy; sisters, Janice Lee and Marjorie Cater; and brother, Jimmy Reedy.

Graveside funeral services were held Wednesday, August 1, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. in Downing Cemetery with Pastor Randy Munter officiating. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the John Hagee Ministries Sanctuary of Hope, in memory of Glenda.
