Glenn David Jobe passed away peacefully on January 26, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 10, 1933, to Lois Clementine Hammonds and David Thomas Jobe in Crowell, Texas.

Growing up during the Great Depression, Glenn faced numerous challenges. After the death of his father when he was six years old, he spent six months in a tuberculosis sanatorium. He survived the Crowell Tornado of 1942, and at five foot three inches, 135 pounds was likely one of the smallest all district nose guards in Texas high school football history.

He graduated from Texas Tech in 1957 with a BS in dairy and Food Science. While at Tech he was a proud member of the National Championship Dairy Judging Team. After college he began his career at Foremost Dairies in Fort Worth, Texas, where he met his beloved wife of 47 years, Evelyn Jean Oglesby.

In 1962 Glenn joined Kraft Foods, where he held various management positions in Garland, Texas, Champaign, Illinois, and Chicago, Illinois. Throughout his 32- year career, he received numerous accolades, including the prestigious Gold Star and Chairman's Awards.
Glenn's first retirement lasted only a year and a half before he began consulting for the food and dairy industries, continuing his work until his last consulting job at the age of 85. Despite his busy career, he always made time for family and friends. Glenn and Evelyn enjoyed traveling and cherished spending extra time with loved ones until her death in 2007.

He is survived by his son Russell Jobe of Fort Worth, Texas, daughters Lauri Thompson (Jeff) of Rowlett, Texas, and Jennifer Beall (Jud) of Keller, Texas. He also leaves behind grandchildren Zach Schueneman (Ang), Chris Thompson, Mike Thompson, Jessica Uramkin (Dave Lopez), Nick Uramkin, Aaron Jobe, Zoie Beall, and Libby Beall; great-grandchildren Alix Schueneman, Braxton David Schueneman, Paloma Lopez, and Dante Lopez; as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Memorial services celebrating Glenn's life were held Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at Nowlin Anders Funeral Home with Brother Matt Morton officiating. Inurnment followed in Victor Cemetery. The family requests memorials be made in memory of Glenn to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105.
