Obituary

Helen Wynell McCann Adams, 75, of De Leon, went home to her Lord and Savior Saturday, March 10, 2018, with her loving family by her side. She was born October 30, 1942, in Stephenville, Texas to Jessie and Ella McCann. Helen married her husband of 56 years, James Howard "Jim" Adams, September 14, 1961, in Huckabay, Texas.

Helen was a member of Northside Church in De Leon. She was a talented seamstress and worked as a professional seamstress for many decades. Helen absolutely loved to sew and gifted her family and many friends hand-sewn treasures over the years. She also enjoyed crafting, reading, drawing and camping. Helen's greatest joy in life was her family. She loved each of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren whole heartedly. She was always her happiest while spending time with her family. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Adams; son, Paul Adams and wife, Jacque; daughters, Regenia Sadberry and husband, Alan, Elania Lingle and husband, Carroll, and Jeannie Howard and husband, Quentin; grandchildren, Eric Lingle and Monica, Meagan Landry, Braxton Sadberry, Lacy Senn and Bryce, Auston Sadberry and Samantha, Corinna Adams, Dallas McGarr and Mitchell, Brittany Cruz and Travis, and Caleb Cruz; great-grandchildren, Bentley Lingle, Aiden Senn and Chase Senn; brothers, Joe McCann and wife, Nellie, Wayne McCann, David McCann and wife, Jeanette; sisters, Janie Gilbreath and husband, Joe, and Annie Mae Tudor; sisters-in-law, Glenda McCann and Gayle McCann; numerous nieces and nephews; and other extended family.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Ella McCann; brothers, James McCann and Bert McCann; and sister, Kathryn Pettey.

Funeral services celebrating Helen's were held Monday, March 12, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at Northside Church, De Leon with Brother Heath Sylva, Brother Kenneth Wilson and Brother Alan Sadberry officiating. Graveside services followed in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Erath County.
