Henry Srader, 62, of De Leon, went home to his Lord and Savior February 17, 2018, with his loving family by his side. He was born September 16, 1955, in De Leon to Rufus Henry Srader and Wanda Faye Cassady Srader.

Henry was a lifelong resident of De Leon. He was a member of De Leon First Baptist Church for many years. Henry was a handyman by trade. He worked in various capacities within the De Leon community including mowing lawns, collecting cans, picking up pecans, watermelon and cantaloupe gathering and trash removal, to name a few. He was loved by the De Leon community and his work around the town was very much appreciated by many residents. Henry was affectionately known to many as the "Cookie Monster". He had an extreme sweet tooth and loved cookies. Henry enjoyed roller skating and spending time outdoors. The staff and residents of De Leon Nursing and Rehab had become part of Henry's family and he loved them all. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. All that knew Henry will deeply miss him.

He is survived by his brothers, Terry Srader and Rudy Srader; sisters, Wilma Boen and husband, George, Betty Williams and husband, Rocky, and Ruby Campbell and husband, Lee; honorary children, Rosie Schlicke, Tracy West, Rusty Carlisle, Buster Carlisle, Chalie Carlisle, Amanda Srader, Melissa Chaney, Jesse Chaney, Lois Srader, Matt –Matt Srader, Keisha Falcon, Richard Fuller and George Boen III; other extended family; and many loving friends. Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Wanda Srader; brother, Bobby Srader; sister, Sharon Srader; and niece, Tammy Decker.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 20, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at Nowlin Anders Funeral Home with Brother Daniel Harper officiating. Interment followed in Hico Cemetery, Hico.
