Obituary

Hettie Fay Allen, 79, of De Leon, passed away November 1, 2015, at De Leon Nursing Home. She was born June 5, 1936, in Littlefield, Texas, to William Hugh Allen and Vera Bell Wolfington Allen.


Hettie lived in Comanche for over fifty years. She was a devoted and loving homemaker for her family. She lived for her family, especially her sweet grandchildren. Hettie enjoyed shopping and going to garage sales. Her favorite time of year was Christmas, when she could have all of her family together. She loved crafts and arts. Hettie will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.

Hettie is survived by children, Donna Schuman and husband, Bobby, Monte Allen and best friend, Betty, Cyresse Allen and friend, Mark Shadden, Michelle Keeter and husband, Terry, and Tracy Lell and husband, Jeffrey; special extended family, Delyn Mankin and Booger Morgan; her husband of many years and father to her children, Don Allen; grandchildren, Racheal Wofford, Daniel Woods, Dement Allen, Shad Allen, Brandi Riley, Jimmy Riley, Ty Keeter, Josh Keeter, Dustin Ketter, Jaden Keeter, Gaige Morgan, River Morgan and Hailey Allen; 27 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

A memorial service honoring Hettie's life was held Saturday, November 7, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at Church of Christ, HWY 6, De Leon.
