Obituary

Ines Hernandez, 65, of De Leon, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2021, in San Antonio. He was born January 21, 1955, to Julian Hernandez Borjas  and Victoria Mendez Reyes Hernandez in Torron, Mexico. Ines married his loving wife, Martha Hernandez Cano, November 16, 1972.

Ines lived in the De Leon community the last five years and attended Emmanuel Church (Spanish Mission) in Olden. He loved worshipping God with his wonderful church family. He worked most of his adult life in the construction industry and was very skilled with his hands. Ines loved music and was a talented guitar player and singer. He loved all animals and was always his happiest while in the company of his large family. He will be missed by his many loving friends and his family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Martha; mother, Victoria Mendez Reyes; sons, Fernando Hernandez Cano, Rolando Hernandez Cano, Oscar Hernandez Cano and Noe Hernandez Cano; daughters, Yolanda Hernandez and Sara Hernandez; grandchildren, Laura, Luiz, Carolyn, Gustavo, Jonathan, Ashley, Benito, David, Daniel, Jackelyn, Alfredo, Oziris, Juan,  Maria, Noaa, Ly'Anna and Jeremyah; siblings, Juan Romo, Jose Romo, Luzma Maria Hernandez, Maria del Refugio Hernandez, Elvira Hernandez, Juanita Hernandez, Casimiro Hernandez, Marie Hernandez, Jesus Hernandez, Seferina Hernandez, Meno Hernandez, Juan Manel Hernandez, Jose Emilyo Hernandez, Rosaelva Hernandez and Victoria Hernandez; numerous nieces, nephews; and other extended family. Ines was preceded in death by his father, Julian Hernandez Borjas; and two brothers.

Graveside funeral services will be held Sunday, January 17, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. in Oliver Springs Cemetery with Minister Cristobal Cruz officiating. The Hernandez family will receive friends at the cemetery from 1 until service time.
