Obituary

Jacquelyn N. Ripley, 76, of De Leon, peacefully passed away February 13, 2021, at De Leon Nursing and Rehab. She was born May 5, 1944, in Ft. Worth, Texas to Edward Jack Stephen and Nadine Ferrell Stephen.

Jackie graduated with the De Leon High School Class of 1962 and married her husband, Joe, June 22, 1962. He preceded her in death November 5, 2020. Outside the home, she worked for her family's telephone business, DeLeon Telephone Company. She was a devoted and loving homemaker for her family. She performed her duties as a cub scout den leader, VBS teacher, room mother, Mighty Maroon Band parent, Dublin Historical Museum volunteer as well as regularly visiting elderly relatives among other activities until her health declined. Jackie and Joe were long-time members of HWY 6 Church of Christ in De Leon.

She is survived by her son, James Patrick Ripley of De Leon; daughter, Dianne Tiller and husband, Steve, and their son, Cole Tiller, of Tyler, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends including dear friend, Beverley Logan. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Jackie has been reunited with her husband, Joe, and her parents Nadine and Neill Sutton and Jack and Johnnie Stephen.

Graveside services celebrating Jackie's life were held Saturday, February 27, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. in De Leon Cemetery with Minister Rick Smitherman officiating. Memorial contributions may be made the De Leon Church of Christ in memory of Jackie.
