James Edward Tidwell, 85, of De Leon, passed away January 1, 2025, at his home. He was born December 8, 1939, in Oil City, LA. James married his loving wife, Sharon Mahoney, on March 15, 1969. They had one daughter, Tammy Lynn Tidwell.

James is survived by his daughter, Tammy Willaby; grandchildren, Cheyenne Ellenburg, Rhianna Willaby, and Laney Brown; great-grandchildren, John, Eli, Noah, Allison, Lane, and Laeklan Alexander; and other extended family. He has been reunited with his wife, Sharon.
