Jason Hayden Swinney, 50, a lifelong resident of De Leon, Texas passed away Saturday, October 2, 2021, at his home. He was born December 15, 1970, in Stephenville, Texas to Roy and Deborah Montague Swinney.

Jason had been employed with Saint-Gobain in Stephenville as a machine operator for many years. Jason lived a fun and outgoing life. He enjoyed many hobbies including working on cars, decorating for Christmas, caring for his flowers, and gardening. He lived life in a big way and enjoyed having a good time. Jason had friends from all over, and never met a stranger. He had a quick and witty sense of humor that kept his family and many friends always laughing. Jason also enjoyed film (all aspects of it), watching old movies, and even participated in theatre. He was always full of life and upbeat. His laughter was infectious, and his happy spirit was contagious. He will be deeply missed by all who loved him.

He is survived by his loving parents, Roy and Deborah Swinney; sisters, Carla Adale Landreth and Lisa Rene Stephens; brother, Shelby Swinney and wife, Shannon; nieces and nephews, George Ann Landreth, Marion Abigail Landreth, Stanton Joseph Landreth, Cheyenne Christina Herrera, Victoria Rose Swinney, and Logan Wyatt Swinney; numerous great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles; and other extended family. Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Ruth Carlin Montague; Robert and Opal Swinney; and brothers-in-law, Darrell Landreth and Michael Stephens.

A celebration memorial was held Saturday, October 9, 2021, from 1-3:00 p.m. at Lisa's Coffee House.
