Jaye Salmon Golden, 61, of De Leon, passed from this life December 18, 2022. She was born May 2, 1961, in Loraine, Texas to Ronnie Salmon and Myrtle Phariss Salmon. Jaye married Gary Golden July 25, 1992.

Jaye graduated from Loraine High School in 1979. She then attended and graduated from Tarleton State University with her Bachelor's in Business Administration in 1990. Jaye was employed with De Leon Independent School District as a Teacher's Aide at Perkins Middle School. She loved teaching and was especially gifted in working with those with learning disabilities. Jaye also taught art and put so much effort into making sure her students enjoyed art as she taught them the various medias and applications. She cherished her many special friendships with her loving co-workers. Jaye's grandchildren were her greatest joy in life. She was infinitely involved with her grandchildren and all their daily activities. She was a very special Granny and will be missed immensely. Jaye was a devoted and loving wife, an attentive mother and daughter, a doting grandmother, and a special friend to many.

She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Gary Golden; mother, Myrtle Phariss Salmon Richburg; sons, R.J. Newby and wife, Oriana, and Eric Golden; daughter, Ashley Fantauzzi and husband, Josh; grandchildren, Paisley, Clayton, Aadi, Nolan, Kai, Brody and Brooke; sisters, Terri Owens and husband, James, and Rhonda Bell and husband, Tim; brothers, Matt Lee Salmon and wife, Penny, and Zayne Salmon and wife, Mary; numerous nieces and nephews; and other extended family. Jaye was preceded in death by her father, and brother, Clayton Salmon.

Funeral services were held December 21, 2022, at Nowlin Anders Funeral Home Chapel with Matt Nowlin officiating. Interment followed in De Leon Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Chris Cogburn, Josh Mathews, Johnny Delatorre, Josh Fantauzzi and Ross Salmon. Honorary pallbearers were Jerry Mathews and Bryon Preston.
