Obituary

Jeffry Dale Lindley, 56, of Desdemona, unexpectedly passed from this life and met his savior face to face May 21, 2022. He was born February 8, 1966 in Gorman, Texas to Eddie and Linda (Carr) Lindley.

Jeff lived most of his life near the Desdemona community. He graduated from De Leon High School with the class of 1984.  Jeff soon became co-owner of Lindley Transport Company along with his dad. He later became a longtime employee of Joe R. Jones Construction Company where he served as jobsite construction superintendent.

Jeff lived life fully charged and enjoyed every single day he was blessed with. He loved to travel all over but his favorite trips were those to Nashville, TN and Ruidoso, NM where he and his sons enjoyed snow skiing together for many years.  Jeff spent most of his spare time outdoors and loved going to stock shows with his three sons, watching them and coaching them to compete in local, county, and major shows.

Jeff enjoyed planning and preparing for large family cookouts where he would work hours to ensure all had a great time (he was a master at this). He also enjoyed water sports, including kayaking. Jeff's entire life was centered around his family. He was incredibly close with his parents, his three sons and their families!   He loved his extended family as well, and many cousins were more like siblings to him; four of whom he referred to as "Lil' Sisters" (Mitzi and Kelly, and Lori and Cara) and they called him "brother". He was also very close friends to the Jeff Stark family and the Stark kids called him Uncle JJ. Jeff was very blessed with a large circle of friends. He considered many of his friends family, and he would, without hesitation, give them the shirt off his back if needed. Jeff knew no boundaries to love and kindness. He was a loving son, an involved dad, a doting PAW, a proud brother, grandson, cousin, and friend. He has left a lasting impact on anyone who knew him and his happy presence will be missed beyond measure. Jeff has been reunited with his beloved older brother, Dewayne Lindley, his grandparents, Cecil and Carrie Carr, and Raymond and Estelle Lindley; and other close family members.

Jeff is survived by his parents, Eddie and Linda Lindley; sons, Joey and wife, Kaitlin, Jeremy Lindley and wife, Tara, and Justin Lindley and wife, Kaitlyn; grandchildren: Jayden, Kenzlea, Kamryn, Tyson, and Blair; numerous cousins; other extended family, and many special friends.

Funeral services celebrating Jeff's life were held Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at 10:00 a.m.at Double N Cowboy Church with Brother Jimmy Holleman officiating. Interment followed in Desdemona Cemetery. Pallbearers were Joey Lindley, Jayden Lindley, Justin Lindley, Jeremy Lindley, Jeff Stark and Billy McGrath.
