Jerry Quinton Grisham, 76, of De Leon, passed away July 20, 2018, in Ft. Worth with his loving family by his side. He was born November 14, 1941, to Oscar Quinton Grisham and Eunice Jewel Skaggs Grisham in Gorman, Texas. Jerry married his loving wife of fifty-five years, Janis Stewart, on October 10, 1963, in Comanche County.

Jerry lived in Comanche County most all of his life. He was a long-time Baptist. Jerry retired from Ft. Bend Sherriff's Department as a Maintenance Supervisor after many years of dedicated service. He was also a talented homebuilder, carpenter and jack of all trades. Jerry especially loved building furniture. He loved spending time outdoors, camping, fishing, canoeing and hunting. Jerry also loved traveling to the beach and researching his family genealogy. Jerry's greatest joy in life was his family. He was so very proud of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved spending time with his large family and spoiling his grandbabies. Jerry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend, and neighbor. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Jan Grisham; daughters, Jana Chupp and husband, Lynn, Jeri Li Thompson and husband, Dean; brothers, David Grisham and wife, Wanda; sister, Brenda Grisham Solomon and husband, Sidney; grandchildren, Casey Chupp, Joey and Kaitlin Lindley, Cory and Raesha Chupp, Jeremy Lindley, Justin and Kaitlyn Lindley, Samantha Pinckard, Tyler Thompson, and Sabrina Thompson; eleven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and other extended family. Jerry has been reunited with his parents, Oscar and Eunice Grisham; sister, Wanda Grisham Sparkman; and niece, Diane Valenta.

Funeral services celebrating Jerry's life were held Monday, July 23, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at Nowlin Anders Funeral Home with Brother Heath Sylva officiating. Graveside services followed in Rock Bluff Cemetery.  If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Rock Bluff Cemetery at 840 Burleson, De Leon, in memory of Jerry.
