Obituary

Jimmy Lynn Bingham, 74 years young, died May 2, 2025, at his home in Beattie surrounded by his family and friends. He was born December 17, 1950, in Gorman to Glen and Ava Nell Bingham.

He graduated from Comanche High School in 1970. Jimmy attended Texas Tech University for one year before he knew that farming and ranching would become his life's work. Working toward this goal was a lifelong dream and commitment that he was proud of. Jimmy enjoyed spending most of his time outdoors, fishing, and hunting for arrowheads. He loved wildflowers and bird watching. He was a loving family man, and they were the center of his life.

Jimmy was surrounded by the love of his wife, Judy; son, Josh Bingham and wife, Amy, and their son, Cooper Bingham; daughter, Jessica Sledge and her children, Wesley Gene and Alice Nichole Sledge; daughter, Janell Kappel and her children, Ava, Cameron, and Khloe Kappel; two brothers, Jerry and wife, Tina, and Mike Bingham; and many nephews, nieces, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Ava Nell Bingham; and an infant sister, Tavia Sue Bingham.

Funeral services celebrating Jimmy's life were held Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Broken Bronc Cowboy Church, Beattie, with Brother Bobby Davis officiating. Graveside committal followed in Sand Hill Cemetery. If desired memorial contributions may be directed to Broken Bronc Cowboy Church Building Fund (1900 FM 588, Comanche, Texas 76442), in honor of Jimmy.
