Joe Gauna's Obituary
Joe Gomez Gauna, 56, of De Leon, passed away Monday, July 13, 2015, at his home. He was born September 6, 1958, in Taylor, Texas, to Raymond and Pauline Frausto Gauna.
Joe was a member of Our Lady Guadalupe Catholic Church of De Leon. He worked as a farm laborer for many years. Joe enjoyed spending time outdoors and fishing.
He is survived by his mother, Pauline Frausto Gauna; sister, Janie Banda and husband, Jessie; brothers, Fred Gauna, Robert Gauna, Tony Gauna, Cecil Gauna and Luis Gauna; and numerous nieces and nephews. Joe was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Gauna and sister-in-law, Nancy Gauna.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at Nowlin Anders Funeral Home. Graveside services followed in De Leon Cemetery.
