Joe Wayne Long, 78, of De Leon, passed away September 8, 2018. He was born August 20, 1940, in Patricia, Texas to William Floyd Long and Henry Zaye Mitchell Long.

Joe lived in the De Leon community for over twelve years, moving here form Boerne, Texas. He was a barber for many years and enjoyed traveling and gambling. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his son, Travis Long; daughter, Julie Dechert; brother, Dell Long; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and other extended family. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, William and Henry Zaye Long; sisters, Lavenia Boyd and Clara Nabors; and brothers, Bill Long, Dean Long and Louis Long.

Joe was interred in De Leon Cemetery September 9, 2018.
